Wanted to wait a week or so after setting up to leave my review, but honestly could’ve left it on day one and it would’ve been the same. This monitor is the best bang for your buck that you’ll find, and probably even better than more expensive ones. Next to perfect image quality and audio. Color video during the daytime. I love the no wifi feature for security purposes and because we experience outages a LOT, and travel in a camper during the summer. The range covers every area in my home (not super large but it’s all we need!). If it ever buffers or lags, it’s very brief and has never caused any functionality issues. The kickstand makes it convenient to watch hands-free and the options are all very easy to explore and understand. This monitor comes with a mount, the handheld screen, and the camera with two powers cords. All the other monitors I was considering were twice the price and needed additional purchases to be mounted. Don’t waste your time or and especially don’t waste your m
Why didn't we buy one of these for baby #1?! We LOVE this. Great to monitor the kids for naps or in their rooms. I love that I can move the cameras around, talk to them (intervene when they're doing something they shouldn't be) and even go outside and get pretty good range. I'd say range through our brick house is about 100ft. Cons: camera cords could be longer. It BARELY reaches from wall plug to a shelf so I can see the whole room or down into the baby's crib. Battery lasts about 9hrs on standby. Less with more screen use. Has a slight delay. Like 3 seconds on sound. Sometimes I hear baby's first cry seconds before the camera activiates. It does activate to sounds or movement though. Overall 4/5 stars. I've even used a camera to monitor the temperature on an egg incubator remotely and to watch baby ducklings hatch inside the incubator too.
This was a great first time monitor! We had this for two years before the charging chord went out and needed an extra camera so we bought two. Then the brand name changed from ANMEATE to Kidsneed which was confusing, but we found our way around. We had a bit a trouble near the end of its use at four years when the chord on the charger that plugged into the monitor gave out and would only work if you twisted or played with it. Pros: 1) it didn’t have WiFi. 2) it was easy to take around the house. Lightweight. The screen wasn’t overly huge. 3) Easy to understand settings and simple to learn. The cons were 1) the chargers gave us problems after a while. 2) the light that grows when the baby cries is crazy bright. We usually had to put something over it or turn it away. 3) the kickstand eventually came off from usage, but was easy to put back on. Our oldest played with it a lot which resulted in losing it a few times.
